A low voltage current transformer is a professional instrument transformer based on electromagnetic induction principle, specially designed for low-voltage AC power distribution systems. Taking the LMZ(J)1-0.66 type as a typical model, it is applicable to AC circuits with a rated voltage of 0.66kV and a rated frequency of 50Hz. Adopting casting insulation technology and bottom fixed installation structure, this device can proportionally step down high primary current into standard low secondary current (mainly 5A). It serves two core functions: accurate current and electric energy measurement, and reliable relay protection for power circuits. With multiple precision grades including Class 0.2, 0.2S, 0.5 and 0.5S, it meets diverse high-precision measurement and industrial monitoring requirements, and complies with the international standard IEC 61869.

What is the applicable voltage and frequency of this low voltage current transformer?
This product is a low-voltage current transformer, with a rated working voltage of 0.66kV and a rated power frequency of 50Hz. It is only suitable for indoor AC low-voltage circuits, and cannot be used for high-voltage power systems beyond the rated voltage.
These grades represent measurement accuracy. Class 0.2 and 0.2S are for high-precision electric energy metering scenarios such as commercial electricity settlement; Class 0.5 and 0.5S are suitable for conventional industrial current monitoring and general circuit relay protection. The S-grade models have higher accuracy under light load conditions.
It must be installed indoors, with ambient temperature between -5℃ and 40℃, humidity ≤80%, and working altitude not exceeding 1000m. Besides, it cannot be placed in an atmosphere with corrosive gas and serious dust pollution to prevent insulation damage.
Select the current ratio according to the actual operating current of the primary circuit (the actual current shall be within the rated current range of the transformer). The secondary load is matched by caliber: small caliber (30/40/50) is equipped with 2.5VA-5VA load, medium and large caliber (60/80/100) with 10VA load, and ultra-large caliber (125/140) with 15VA-40VA load.
The casting insulation structure has integral sealing performance, which is dust-proof, moisture-proof and corrosion-resistant. It has better insulation strength, effectively avoiding electric breakdown.
